For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. John 3:16-18
Come Build With Him Capital Campaign
Thank you and may God bless everyone at St. Mary Parish for making the kickoff of the capital campaign a success. We are pleased to report that as of October 8 we have already received over $61,000 in pledges from nearly 25 families. We look forward to hearing from the remaining 350 families in the coming weeks that you have prayed and pledged to Come Build with Him over the next three years to retire our parish debt and build a capital improvement fund.
We received some questions in the past week that we thought everyone would like to know about.
- What about those blue envelopes and collection once a month? Please the 2nd continue to use those blue envelopes if you plan to write a check to fulfill your pledge for the Capital Campaign. You can put it in the regular collection basket from now on or drop off at the office. There will be blue envelopes for the retirement of the debt in your 2015 envelope packet.
- How can I give via credit card to the Campaign? You can provide St. Mary with your credit card information on the blue pledge cards right now. In a few weeks we will also roll out a new online tithing system called “We Share” where you can set up your own account to give electronically.
- How much does St. Mary pay in fees if a credit card is used? The Diocese manages our credit card processing. Every transaction has a 3.25% fee. This is typical for most online/credit card systems utilized by nonprofits.
- How long will the Campaign go on? We will focus on pledges until Christmas. You will receive periodic updates and there will be a thermometer posted soon. The sooner we get 100% participation the sooner we can focus on follow up. Please continue to pray for the success of our Capital Campaign and on-going stewardship efforts of our parish family.
