Sacrament Information

The Religious Education Program offers preparation for the reception of 1st Eucharist and 1st Reconciliation in second grade. 1st Reconciliation is traditonally made in January and 1st Eucharist in May. Children need to be enrolled in REP or attend St. Mary School to receive these sacraments at this time. Special Formation Classes are offered for students in off sequence years who have not received the sacraments.

Confirmation takes place in 9th Grade and includes three years of preparation. 7th and 8th graders complete a Confirmation Handbook which supplements normal class work. 9th graders take part in a confirmation class and retreat as part of their immediate preparation for the sacrament. The Bishop of Lansing or his appointed representative confirms the students in the spring each year.
