PROGRAMS
- St. Mary School serves children ages two and one-half years through Fifth Grade
- Childcare is available between the hours of 6:45 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
- St. Mary School offers A.M. and P.M. Preschool programs
- St. Mary school has a full-day Kindergarten Program (Monday-Thursday) with childcare available on Friday
ACCREDITATION
- St. Mary School is fully accredited by the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools (MANS)
- St. Mary School is a member of the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA)
- St. Mary School Teachers are licensed by the State of Michigan and certified in religious education
ATHLETICS
- St. Mary School offers opportunities to participate in the Lansing Catholic Youth League Athletic Program in basketball and volleyball
- St. Mary School provides students with small class sizes and much individual attention
RELIGION
- Students participate in daily prayer services and special prayers and activities of the liturgical year
- Students participate in activities to benefit charities such as the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Habitat for Humanity and the Food Bank
- Students plan and participate in weekly Mass where they learn to serve as acolytes, choir members, readers, and ushers
CURRICULUM
- St. Mary School Curriculum is set by the Diocese of Lansing Department of Education under the direction of the Superintendent for the Diocese of Lansing and is in accordance with State of Michigan requirements
- Students receive instruction in Religion, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Computer Education, Music, Physical Education and World Language
- Students with special needs have access to services at St. Mary School through the Williamston Community Schools Special Education Department
- Students in Grade Four take the Iowa Achievement Exam
- Students in Fifth Grade take the Diocese of Lansing Religion Test
- St. Mary School operates on a quarterly calendar with report cards given four times per year
- Scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences are held in the fall and spring with additional conferences at the request of the parent or teacher
PARENTS
- Parents have many opportunities to be actively involved in their child's education: In the classroom and the library, on the playground and in the lunchroom, on field trips, through fundraising and grant writing, on the Education Commission, on the yearbook staff, as a member of the Parent Teacher Club
